Closed seasons
Fixed closed seasons apply to the Rhine in Rhineland-Palatinate. A quick overview to help you plan:
Spring closed season:
From 15 April to 31 May inclusive, fishing with natural bait is permitted — with the exception of dead baitfish.
Closed seasons by species:
- Pike: 1 February to 15 April
- Eel: 1 October to 31 March
- Zander: 1 April to 31 May
- Barbel: 1 May to 15 June
- Grayling: 15 February to 30 April
